Jacob ran away because he was getting bullied by his next door neighbour William.

Hi today we watched a video on how to make an Umu.

an Umu is an above ground fire hot rocks pit were they cook the food on rocks with leaves.
 they would have been taught from  there parents.
 they cook fish banana's and pork chicken lamb in the Umu

Today we are learning about haiku. an haiku is a poet that does not rhyme it also has a syllable beat so it go's 5 7 5. we are doing this because its an art.

the creation of tuna

Hi today we have watched a video on history about a tuna.


What problem did the tuna have?
The problem the tuna had was that the land was to dry and to sunny so that is why it was in the water .


Tuna is Eel in English.

Vocabulary:
Tipua is an weird thing or common objects also  as tree's rocks that have been assigned for a spirit  thing or a special place or places.
Hinaki is an eel trap or known as an wire eel pot.

An tuna is an fish. tuna is an eel. An eel lives in a lake or rivers.

Compare the art from the book and the video clip.
The book was more different to the video. The video was more like a sketch. The book was more Illustrated and carefully drawn.

Which art style do you like best?
I prefer the video art style I just like the look of a more sketch look it just gives it more of an better look and more performance in a different way 

sadako and the thousand paper cranes

today we watched a video clip of Sadako and the thousand paper cranes. we have some questions for the clip and for the story.


This little girls name is sadako
 I think sadako is in heaven because she is dead and she is nice to she must be in heaven.
 I thinks she got there cause she died.
I think sadako feels sad cause she left her family and died.
I think the paper crane represents the good will and fortune in the Japanese culture.
The paper crane is a nice piece of origami art and the most popular origami in Japanese culture.

She died in October 25 1995 and was 12.
She folded 1300 paper cranes.
She knew if you folded 1000 paper cranes then your wish will come true.
She died of a cancer caused by the atomic bomb.

sadako showed commitment respect resilience.

I chose the peace sign as my symbol.

restaurant design

Hi

yesterday and today we have been working on designing are own restaurant. we have been doing logo's and fonts also what we might sell and what colours will we use for are design and restaurant. We also made a name for what we would call are restaurant. My favourite part was thinking of the food we would sell and make. the point of this is to know how to design.  I think the restaurant would be for the whole family.

Today we did some horror writing and im not finished but I am still going on with it.

It all started at school when it was free period for Jake Kate and Lesa  a fire started in the science class roaring popping cracking noise was coming from the science room everyone was called to the field the teachers did the role for each class Lesa over heard the popular kids conversation Noah: you know how there is a fire well I did the experiment wrong on purpose to cause the fire well Lesa knew that he did not do it on purpose she knew that he did not pay attention in class and got it wrong Lesa thought he is the lowest person in the class for grades. Kate was freaking out Jake was comforting her she was so scared. Finally the fire fighters came and the fire was put out school was dismissed and everyone had to go home early Kate called Jake and Lesa so they could meet up at the park. So at the park Kate Jake and Lesa went for a walk and talked about the fire Kate: so you know about the fire I wonder how it started Jake: I know right Lesa: well I heard Noah talking to Sophia and Ava and he did the experiment wrong apparently on purpose but he got it wrong cause he does not pay attention in class Kate: lol Jake: wow Lesa: He was to stressed ON his looks Kate Jake and Lesa: hahahaha

Hi last term we did some post cards and we had to make a six  word sentence I manged to do two post cards. We did this so we could send it to are buddy class in Cambridge.
