Today we watched a video about Maori history
The first European Explorer was Abel Tasman
Abel Tasman arrived in 1642.
James cook was the next Explorer to arrive in Aotearoa.
The name he gave the land was Nova Zealandia.
The Europeans brought diseases, ship rackets, pigs and potato's.
A musket is a gun.
The musket wars ended in 1830's.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. This is great information about the early people in Aotearoa Shanaya. You have used mostly great spelling and punctuation. The European people brought ship rats (not rackets) to New Zealand. James Cook didn't name New Zealand. Keep up your great note-taking skills Shanaya.
