 Hello today in drama we have been working on what our favourite actress is and all about them.

Julie Andrews 

Julie Andrews is a famous actress who played in sound of music, Mary Poppins, The Princess Diaries and Victor/Victoria. She played maria in the sound of music along side a lot of other actors. Julie Andrews is famous for her happy enthusiastic energetic energy. She is  great singer and a really nice person. Julie Andrews career started 1938 Austria as she played the family governess as the role of maria. Julie Andrews at the age of 10 started singing with her pianist mother.

I like Julie Andrews because she I a great singer and her great energy for her characters she plays. Julie Andrews plays my favourite role in the sound of music which is my favourite movie she is great at everything she is enthusiastic and is really nice. She is a amazing person and she does her roles the best she can do and does it well. 

EOTC days

 Hi guys on Wednesday - Friday we were at  the eotc days. We went to Adrenalin Forest, Jelly park and Christchurch City Centre.

 Adrenalin Forest - At Adrenalin Forest we did some practice runs on the clips and how to use them. We climbed and zip lined to tree to tree. My favourite part at Adrenalin Forest was zip lining from tree to tree on level 3. Me,  Alexia and Carla all went of level three and Alexia got nervous while me and Carla wanted to go on level 5 and 6. I saw people on level 6 and it looked really cool. We also went to the park not so far from Adrenalin Forest. At the park we went down the flying fox and eat our food. We also watched people play volleyball. Some of us went to the beach and we made a enormous sand castle  hill. we also wrote things into the sand and break other sand castles.

Christchurch City Centre - We went to the library and to Margret Mahy. We also went to the museum and looked around in groups. At the museum me and Alexia and Bronte broke off of our group and looked around as a bunch. We looked at all the old dresses and pick the ones that we would wear and all the shoes and hats and fans we would wear or use. We also went to Margret Mahy and went down the big slide and go down the flying fox. we also feed the ducks and the swan. We tried to pat the eels but the eels were not there. We sat down and eat our food and talked to each other. I really enjoyed the part when me Bronte and Alexia broke off from our group at the museum.

Jellie park -   At Jellie Park we went down the hydroslide and played in the pool. Me and my friends we all acted like we were posh in these pool rings and swam around using what we think is an posh voice. We also went on a blew up  dinosaur and got pushed off. At Jellie Park we eat fish and chips with chip buddys. We when down the hydroslide with our friends and acted like we were drowning.  

Horror story ~ drop and run ~

HI guys the past few days in reading we have been creating our own horror story with a buddy if you want. I have been working on my own creating a horror story about someone following the main character Max. this rando is an serial killer who try's to kill Max. This story is not finished and is still in working progress. If you have any ideas for the following of the story please in the comments tell me what you think should happen next. This story is based on my story called runaway.

Start draft :

One really boring monday morning at school
“ Hey Max!” “hi Oliva”... Oliva gave Max
a big hug while Max just stand there very
confused and surprised a little. The two
walk to class and on the way they see Axel
“ hey Axel my bro” said Max “ sup my bro
Max” Oliva pouts “ what about me!? She
said they look at her like she’s a maniac
coming to give them a hug. They say at
the same time “ bruh” she gives them
another pout they start walking back to
class as Max groans “ why do we have to
go I hate math” Axel said “ we have no
chose or I would be have a blast at the
pool Oliva laughs “ it’s not that bad
were doing geometry and geometry isn't
as bad as algebra. They all laugh as they
walk into the class and sit down on their
seats after a long boring period of maths
and social science they go to their favorite
part of the school , the school roof. They
talk about the sports they do and their
next period. After school they walk each
other to their house once it's just Axel and Max
there one block away from Max’s house so
after 10 minutes of walking they are Max’s
house when they reach Max’s door Max waves
goodbye to Axel and Axel waves back. As
Max walks through the door he feels the
warm air against his head he yells “ im home
to him” him mum comes running and gives him
a big hug. As he pushes his mum off him he
walks into his room and feels like someone
has been watching him while he walked back
home with his friends. He feels his body
shaking. The next past days its been the same
feeling but this one day he looked back and
saw this dude dressed in full black. “Wow
he’s creepy” he said trying to act all brave
as he shivers like he’s traumatized. Every day
he would walk with his friends and secretly
look back to see this rando who is following
him. One day max was talking to his friends
and out of nowhere Olivia said “hey maybe we
should go watch the new movie called The Meg”
Axel replied “yeah we should” Axel also said
“at 9.00 we should go watch it” they all ask
their parents they all said yes but only if
your back before 11.00. The parents all
know that they're old enough to go out
with their friends. So on saturday they all
got together at 8.50 and hung out for
sometime. They all started to walk to the
movie theatre  then it hit 9.00 and they all
started to walk into the theatre and pay
for their tickets. “ This will be GREAT”
Olivia said. Axel “ shhhhh no yelling in the
movie theatre we’ll get kicked out” Max said
“ yeah we should not be yelling” they walk and
sat on there seats and one row above there
was Shilla , James and Maddy their top rivals
they watched the movie hoping that Shilla, James
and Maddy would not recognize them and fortunately
they did not. They were giggling a little that
they did not recognize them. Max thought
“ didnt I see the rando who keeps following me”
“ I swore I saw him follow us this whole time”
Max just ignored that feeling and kept watching
the movie. Once the movie was finished and
they all left the building and  talking to each  other
while waiting for their parents to come pick them up
after Max said goodbye to Olivia and Axel. Once
they all leave and it's just Max left he starts
to walk home until that rando comes up to him and
approaches him.

End of book review

 Hi guys as you can tell from the tittle that I am giving an end of book review to say what I think of the book Playing To Win. we are doing this cause we gave what we could predict from what they said at the back of the book and the cover.

End of book review 

I like this book its very interesting and had a lot of drama witch it not my thing but it made it a lot more fun to read and hooked me into the book. Next time the Author could maybe space it out the drama a bit because when they did this they made some chapters more interesting than the others but over all this was a really good book. I like the way the Author did not make it all love and made it different than most other high school books. I do think that maybe they could describe the characters more better and make it more easy to do a character description. I really like Alice, Todd, Rose and Lucy they made the book more amazing. The main characters were Alice , Todd and Denny. Alice Todd and Denny made the book more interesting. I selected this book because it had sports in it and the others didn't so it made it more better and fun. Overall I think this was a very good book and had character to it.  my favourite part was when Alice was sarcastic to Todd.  I would recommend this to my brother because it might be very interesting to him  and he might actually like it. Another part of the book that was amazing to read was when Todd deliberately ordered Denny what he didn't ask for.  This was very amazing to read and I would like to read a part two of Playing To Win.

why fireworks should be banned blog

 Hi guys these past few weeks in hur 4 we have been writing a speech on persuasive writing. Something I enjoyed about speech writing was the writing because I have had experience on persuasive writing and I have years ago wrote about why fireworks should be banned. One thing about persuasive writing is that I have for years thought that fireworks should be banned and it something that I want to stick with cause I have so many reasons why fireworks should be banned. When I did the writing I knew I could do it cause I've done it before and I'm passionate on that fireworks should be banned.  All thought out this  persuasive writing I have learned that I cant speak to people that well if I don't know them that well. I have also learned that as a public writer I cant read because I get very nervous I don't say the words right and i nearly whisper my writing.

 Hi guys today in wga we have been working on some tasks for EOTC week. I did a poster for Adrenalin forest.

gym pe

 hi guys today we have been working on gymnastics in pe these past weeks and months. I have learned to use the beam. So far  in gymnastics we have been working on the trampoline, mini trampoline, beam, parallel bars and more. we have done some front flip straight jamp and more. we have been doing front flips, back flips  knee slips. we have also been hoping leaping frog jumps and cart wheels. on the bar we have been doing rolling off the ar , tuck legs through roll and more. one of my favourite things was to do a front flip on the mini tramp and land on the mats. on the parallel bars we have been doing walking with our arms.

Margaret Mahy was an NZ children and young adult author born in Whakatane she made over  100 picture books, 40 novels and a collection of short stories.  

Margaret mahy died from cancer at the age of 76. She was diagnosed in april. Margaret mahy was a Liberian for over 10 years. Margaret mahy wrote her first book at the age of seven.

Margaret mahy was the eldest out of five children and her father was a bridge builder. The father read stories to all the children and influenced Margaret mahy to be a story writer. Margaret mahy’s mother was a teacher and she had a lot of relatives in the town with her. Mahy was a great swimmer at high school and she also worked as and nurse aide for six years.

    

Playing To Win week 7

 Hi guys today in reading we have finished the last chapter of the book. we had to wright a letter to the author of the book. 

Hi I would like to say this book was all really good and fascinating with all the drama and stuff all throughout the book. One thing I do wanna say is that all though this book was interesting I didn't like the fact that some of the chapters had more interesting things going on that the others were just really boring and not hooking me in. sometimes it was making me wanna turn away but over all this was really good. I do wanna ask if there is or will be a Playing To Win book 2. It would be fun to read the next book and read what more drama can go on between all the characters. Also in the future I would like it if you could describe the characters it would be great. I would like it if there was more to them than what I have read.   

100 word challenge

 Hi today in Wanaga we have been doing another 100 word challenge. we had to do this with a random setting and story line the teacher created. The story line is that there is a life size bubble that can take us where ever we want so I chose Paris I kinda wanna see Paris but also Russia.

I was walking through a forest and stumbled upon a life size bubble that will float me

anywhere I want. I walked into the bubble and there I was thinking of where I wanted

to go but all I could think of is there’s no place like home cause it was funny and I just

watched the movie. I thought of a place I wanted to go to and decided Paris so off i float

all invisible so no one can see me. I landed in Paris, saw the beautiful Eiffel

Tower and so much more. I went to the Dine at a street café and had a very fun time.

my new shoe

 hi today we have had a task to create our own shoe.  we designed our shoe and i think mines creative but i would personally not were them anywhere.  when I did this I did a lot of different designs and changed it a lot of times. I love this task and i thought it was very fun and I would do it again another time.

 Hi or Kia Ora  today we have been working on an trailer for playing to win. we had to do an part of the book. when we did this we had Ashton playing the role of Alice,  Carla playing the role of Clara, me / shanaya playing the role of Todd the bully and Alexia playing the role of Denny. for our trailer we just introduce our characters or roles we played.  

Playing To Win week 5

Hi guys today in reading we have read chapter 8 - 9, for our task we have to do are weekly Friday  discussion / basically questions about the book. We had to do these because we have no school on Friday.

1. Denny has a lot of responsibilities in his life, he helps his mum with fiances, has a job he takes care of his sisters and is part of a team. do you think these are reasonable responsibilities for a sixteen year old why or why not?   Denny does have a lot of responsibilities but I think that they are reasonable responsibilities for a sixteen years old. I think that its good to be active and do a lot of work. I also think that he should be doing these things so he's ready for when he moves out.

2. What responsibilities do you have in your life? How do you manage them and make sure you are completing everything you are trusted to do? In my life I have to do dishes and washing I'm also responsible for if anything is lost or to remember things that my family wont. ( For when I say anything lost I'm always who they blame and I have to find everything  that is lost).

3.  Denny feels pressured to drink at the party, but he still says no. why do you think the boys are pressuring him? Why do you think it is important to stand up for your beliefs? what values do you think he was showing by saying no to underage drinking? I think the boys are pressuring him cause he is saying no and wont do it. I think its important to stand up to your beliefs because its your body and your  decision for what you do. I  also think that listening to your beliefs is a great way of showing commitment. ( I think) I think he showed commitment, resilience, respect, and being responsible person he also showed integrity.( I think) 

100 word challenge

 Hi guys today we have been working on 100 word challenge as most probably know what is. The picture was foot print's in the snow. 

I woke up to the sound of christmas bells ringing. it's christmas eve and there

is snow everywhere. I walk down the streets to the smell of home baked cookies

and gingerbread cookies. The town square is as bright as ever and all the

Christmas decorations are up. It's almost like you're in a world of gold, red and green.

There I was going past the park just after the town square. I walked to my favorite

spot at the top of the hill under the big evergreen tree. I sat down in the spot with no

snow and sang.

playing to win week 4

 Hi this week in reading we have been working on adding more to our character description. We had to put more cause where farther into the book. 

 

When we did this I also wrote what I have picked out from who the characters act and behave.

Alice - Strong minded, independent, calm and hard working, sarcastic and funny.

She’s very independent and does not need prince charming to come and help.

she can be serious and she means what she says. Alice does not change her mind

she sticks with what she  thinks. She is not first to lose but not first to win. She is

friends with Denny, Clara, Zak and Todd. She does not have the strongest relationship

with Todd but there still friends.

Todd - Todd never lets anyone get in his way when he has something planned and if anyone

does they’ll regret it. Todd is also very independent just like Alice. Todd and Alice don't

have the strongest relationship but that does not stop Todd from liking her. Todd is very

obnoxious and full of himself. He does not like Denny and hate's people parking in his park.

Denny - Denny is kind and hardworking. He likes to make friends and play rugby.

He has an interesting character to him. He's independent  and friends with Alice,

Clara, Pete and Zak. He got a new car and moved into a new house and school.

He  moved from invercargill. He goes to westbridge. Denny is also responsabile. Denny has

two sisters called Lucy and Rose.

Gymnastics P. E

 Hi guy's today in gymnastics we have been doing all different things Like the beam the trampoline, mini trampoline and more. we did the mini trampoline Its when you have an mini trampoline and crash mats that you land on after you do your trick. With my group we did a straight jump, two feet landing jump and a front flip. I had fun my favourite part or activity we did was the flip. one thing I think I would like to do if there is a next time is the  big trampoline or the beam I really like both even though I don't like gymnastics.

200 word challenge week 3

 Hi guys today in Wanaga we have been doing independent tasks and one of them was the 200 word challenge. The 200 word challenge can e done in a variety of different ways. We do 200 word challenges nearly every Friday in period two Wanaga. We do the 200 - 100 word challenge with a picture. IN the picture this week we have a whale shark called the Rhincodon Typus this is a slow moving whale shark the likes to eat sharks. I wrote it like it was me getting chased by the Rhincondon Typus. For the 200 word challenge I ended up with 247 cause I turned it into a story. 

As I dive into the deep blue seas to get some photos of the life below I swim to

the bottom or at least I think the bottom to see creatures yet to be seen and others

that have been discovered. The magnesium and sodium levels are high as they

should be. I swim around taking a lot of photos to show the underworld where the

fish live. I was running out of air in my tank so I decided to go back up on my way

up I feel a force of water pushing me like there was something behind me I went to

look to see but as I go to look I  have a sudden feeling that it's bigger than me the

water pushing on me feels to powerful to a fish or another human. I go to glance in

horror with a slight thought of what it is. I look back to see an Rhincodon typus there,

very slow moving but eat a lot. It’s not that far behind me but i still have time to escape.

I started to swim faster and just as the Rhincodon typus was still coming for me a

Blacktip Reef shark swam in front of the Rhincodon typus. The Rhincodon typus

decides to start going after the Blacktip Reef shark knowing I was two far from

it to catch up. It follows the Blacktip Reef shark and I make it out alive with more

diving to do. 

Abstract art

 Hi for the past two weeks we have been doing abstract art. The task was to get a A3 piece of paper and fold it into 3 half's and do art about three words. The three words were fear, love/compassion and growth. We had to three elements in to the art. There are six elements altogether. The six elements are line, shapes, form, texture, tones and colours. When we did the three words you had to use your Geometric shapes and your Organic shapes. Geometric shapes our ones you can see and know what they are for an example triangles rectangles squares circle etc. Organic shapes are the one's you don't know what they are you cant tell what they are. Organic shapes are basically the opposite to Geometric they are like scribbling and you have different shapes that you don't know what they are. When we did the  three words on the A3 paper we had to use three of the elements and your art could be real random but you have to have some sort of connection to your art for the words eg for love and compassion you could do totally random but you have to understand what its showing and it must have some sort of connection to in it has to have something with love in it. When we did the art with the blending of the colours we  had to to do words for an example hot ,cold dark ,light  love hate. when I did it i chose to do hot cold and so I blended red into orange dark blue to light blue and it turned out really good. my favourite task for this subject that we have done would have to be the three words. I liked the three words because it was fun to do random shapes and random things to make my art I would love to do the hot and cold but with paint it would be more fun and more exciting to try and experiment the colours and what  happens  and what will be the final look.

playing to win chapter 5

 Hi guys to I was reading on my chapter 5 of my book playing to win. Chapter 5 was very interesting all though not much happened. my favourite part was when we got to know about Alice's brother and how he died in a crash after his rugby party. In chapter 5 there was not much going on apart finding out Alice's brother and how he died. The next interesting part was the accident  that happened with Denny and the crash. So far this book has been good but to be honest all the interesting things are in one whole chapter and then the next chapter is boring. chapter five has been the most boring chapter yet but i do like how they unlocked more on Alice since see is being stuck with Todd cause Todd is very clingy and like Alice so he wont let her go. 

our task for this week is to make your own question for Friday discussion. My question's our what do you think happened at the party? how do you think the crash happened or how it was caused?. In chapter 5 we learned that Alice does not like rugby or crashes cause of her brothers accident. This topic on how her brother died helped me think of a question but I came up with two.

 hi last week we have been looking at freeze frames and techniques like levels and   spacial relationships, expressions and gestures. we did freeze frames but are subject was bully's. I think my group did well and we did an great on our frames I especially liked acting like im the main bully and acting like im going to punch my friend. we practised before we did our own freeze frames. some of our faces in the photos are really funny with my group we did some interesting things when we were acting. my favourite part was when we got to try and make the titanic with our body with three people. When I was the bully I felt real good and interested on what we were doing and all the freeze frames we did all though next time I do want to do an real act on bully's so I get to act as a bully. In drama we have been looking at what we could do to make it more interesting and that is when the levels and spacial relationships (etc) come in. with my group we did a lot of different techniques and I think we used levels the most.

playing to win character description

 hi guys today we did some character description on our novel we are reading about a book about rugby and trying to understand the characters. some of the characters were not  mentioned a lot and it was hard to explain what they were like. we read chapter 3 - 4 on playing to win. the task was to understand the characters from what they have said done and how they speak this is the 2nd week on reading playing to win and so far it has been going good we are in different groups for different novels as said and we are doing this to give us a chance to do more that just read the book and next week a different book. 

Fifine Niue ~ fuata muta writing

 Hi today we in Wananga we have a new language week. the two languages we are learning is Niuean and tokelau.   

I can see a little girl sitting by the waves letting the water goes over her feet as she sings a song she make u in math class. The water was as clear as glass with a light blue tint to it. Her hair was blowing in the wind. As she sings her parents are sitting on a rock listing to her song without her knowing. She sings a graceful harmony. the waves hit the big rocks and splash against the rocks. As the sun is setting and the sky is yellow orange and a little blue with pink clouds a ray of sun reflects onto the little girl singing.

 hi today in wanaga we did an 100 word challenge. we did this with a picture of a dog wrapped in a blanket in a forest. This 100 word challenge was done on our Chromebooks.

hi guys this first week of  the term for rt we have been working on blackout poetry. we are now doing it digital. we are doing this on are Chromebooks and taking screen shots of what we have made from other peoples story like Alice in wonderland. we used this sight on are Chromebooks that is used to do black out poetry. I love doing this on our Chromebooks Because it is more easy and its just like a click of an finger. This sight is a very useful for blackout poetry.

 hi today we have been designing our own shirt. we did this on our Chromebook or paper i did it on paper and it was pretty plain. I liked this because we got to do something fun and interesting next time i might do more interesting things. 

playing to win fast finishing task

 Hi this week in reading we have been working on a novel study called playing to win this is about a kid named  Denny and he is at a new house and school and got a car and he like rugby. This book is a very interesting book and I cant wait to read more. In this book there is a phrase where the main character says "you can fight a whole war, forty minutes each way and come out the other end alive. More or less anyway" Tying it into rugby I think he is trying to say that you fight for the ball you can win you can lose but at the end you will always be alive? So what do you think? rugby is a really fit game and its involves people getting hurt the main thing in rugby is to have fun and i think thats for every sport.

summery playing to win

 hi guys today in reading we have started a new book called playing to win and this book is about a boy named Denny. Denny brought a new car a  red Mazda. Denny has had some very bad times with this boy named Todd. Todd is what you call a boy with the girl of his dreams that doesn't  like him. we have to do an summery that explains what has happened so far who are the characters and what are they like.

Some of the few things that have happened so far is Denny got a new car and has got a job at the video store. Denny has moved houses and schools at has went to a new school and started fresh. A little about Todd is he is very rude and likes to pick on people and is very annoying and might have a little crush on a girl called Alice. Alice is a girl that Todd likes she is friends with Denny. Alice likes to sing and sings in a band with her other friends. one of my favourite parts is when Todd's car breaks down. when todds car breaks  down it was at the lights when he showed off to Alice. 

Blackout poetry

Hi guys today we this start of term four for art we have been working on blackout poetry. Blackout poetry is when you have an article or newspaper and you make a story with the words of what someone else has written when you have picked your few words you black out every thing else about from the few words you picked. One of one of my favourite parts was when we had to do a design  that  links to your poem. I really disliked how long it took for me to find a good story line or words form someone else's poet that  made a good story. We did this to learn the relationship between image and text. Blackout poetry is a very fun and exciting way to make a poem. When we were learning how to make a blackout poem we watched a video on how to make an newspaper blackout poetry. I really liked this type of way to do a poem and I hope I get to do this type of poem again some time in my journey  at school. 

PE expectations

 hi today we are going over PE expectations. one of the Pe expectations is having your gear you always need your pe uniform for pe. another expectation is to line up in two lines and be quiet. next is to not touch any of the gear before you have been instructed to. when the teacher is doing the role you have to not talk and listen for your name. when you have been let in the gym you go and get changed as fast as you can so you can be ready to do the role of whatever you do. if your uniform cant be used like when in the wash yu can bring any type of clothes that can be used. if you dont have your uniform you will sit out.

 Hello this week we have been working on finding out what pink shirt day is for what it represents and what it is. pink shirt day is not for breast caner its for standing up to bully's and no bulling.

Snow White moral / theme

 Hi these past couple of weeks we have been looking at what theme or the moral of some story's are. Me and my partner / friend decided that we will do Snow White. we did Snow White because its a story and it has a great theme and moral to it so we decided to do Snow White.

B - E recount

This Wednesday we had market day and with my group we were doing a game called lucky spin and me and one of my friends in the group had a walk around to look at what some people had been working on wand if we wanted to maybe get or buy. With my friends I messed around and had so much fun but then we had to go back and keep at our game. we had turns about at going around and buying things. My friend and her brother went out had had fun while my and the other person in the group stayed with me for like the smallest amount of time he kept leaving to hang with other people and left me along and it was hard cause i was there for along time and it was very hard to do it all by myself.  When the whole group apart from one was there and then some one won our top prize and it was so fun when she saw the it was an whole big block of chocolate. The girl who won the top prize friend decided to have a go at winning but got nothing and was so irritated and her friend was laughing her head off. A lot of people played our game and had cleared us out really fast.

Finally we had ran out of all our products and we had nothing better to do the me and my friend went out to look around and I saw some really nice earrings and so I brought 2 pears of the earrings so we could be matching and then we ended up with chocolate source on our tops so we had to go and wash it off then we went and sang some of our favourite songs. When we were singing one of me and my friends favourite song one of the head students came and stared singing and dancing and it was funny but we appreciated  him for knowing the song and we sang really loud and bad. at the end we had made $60.50 dollars when we had thought we would never get anything and Casey and my mum would be the only people who would try our game.

 hi today we have been working on geometry / shapes. we have been looking at 2D shapes. we are working on our  Angles / vertices / sides and faces. We have been learning about 2D and 3D so we know the differences of  2D and 3D.

B - E

 Hi these past weeks we have been working on an project where all the year 7 /8 and 9s will be attending. We are getting into groups and making our own business. This event will be held and Hornby High School (where we are right now) and will be Wednesday the 23rd of September (e g this Wednesday). In my group we are doing a digital spin wheel to get prizes. The prizes are lollies and chocolate. In my group we have Joshua who is our finance manager, Alexia who is the marketing manager, we have Saia who is the production manager and we have me Shanaya as the CEO. The prises our $1.00 for 1 spin and  $2.00 for 3 spins. I am most excited for when the day comes and who get what (e g prizes). The most challenging part was when some of the group did not so much work and some of us was left to do it all. We as a group have done very well with working with each other and have not given up on what we have been working on. We had no argument on anything we have done. We have worked together to make our project and not complained on not doing the best project out of everyone.

The gingerbread man

 Hi today we have watched a video on a old story that most people know called the gingerbread man.

The protagonist is the gingerbread man because he is the main character and the story is his name. The antagonist is the fox because he ate the gingerbread man. The gingerbread man is an round character because he is the star of the story and because its about him and his story line.

The old man likes to be in the garden. The old man and the old lady are lonely. The old lady is bored when the old man is not there. They live in a small house. 

The gingerbread man is very energetic and is very silly. He is silly by his tone of voice and how he says things like when he said his main line ( run run as fast as you can you cant catch me im the gingerbread man ). He's energetic because he just strait away jumps up and start running out the window.

Hello! Last week we have been working on an poster about solar energy and what the disadvantages and advantages. we also wrote hoe solar power works.

science solar Oven

Hi! last week we made an solar oven with tin foil card board and tape. This was something we had to make so we can use the energy of the sun to make smores. we got some chocolate biscuits  and some small marshmallows and they started to melt. we were given a magnifying glass to make it melt more faster it did not work as well as i hoped but it did a better job at melting the chocolate than the marshmallows. we used solar energy to make them melt more faster.

mercury

Hi! today we are doing some research on the planet mercury in science.

 the main reason mercury lost its atmosphere lower gravity and cause of it being close to the sun. the wind of the sun was pushing the atmosphere.
 mercury is 57.714 million km from the sun and earth is 151.21 million km from the sun.
the mass on mercury is  way less than earth. not having an atmosphere makes it very hot and it is (180C ) /290F

war letter to family

Today we have to write a letter to are family about are time at war. ( we are doing this because we have been working on learning about war so we have not been to war) ( I hope that explains it enough ) we have to add detail like what we have seen or what we do.

Dear family back at Dunedin I wish I could see you again its been 4 months and a lot has been going on . We have been practising using are weapons. The lakes up here looks so beautiful and blue but you have to walk a long way to see them. Where we are staying is very cold and muddy and every morning we wake up with fog everywhere. Me and my friend are staying in a little tent with some bunk beds. The fields are muddy and the hills are a dull green. Sorry there is not that much to say  a part from i'm sorry that i have not wrote to you all in a long time we have been really busy but anyway I hope you all are doing well.

In memory first war memorials

Hi! today we have been reading and listening to and audio  of an story about memorials.

one of the reasons of why memorials were made was because people wanted to have something left of there loved ones.
the second reason why memorials were built was because all of the soldiers were buried over sea's.

 The first feature of the memorials is that some are females some are males and some are crosses.
The second feature is some they have a big list of years and names of the people who fought in the war.
The last feature is some are sained glass windows in churches and sometimes in schools.

egg drop challenge

hi today we did an egg drop and It did not break because we made it so it didn't. This challenge  was very difficult because we had 30 minutes with 3 or 4 people. we used bubble tape, news paper, fluff and paper towels. this prosiest Is very easy because you are making it very secure. my group was Carla, Casey and leo. we did so many layers that it didn't break. 

100 word challenge

hi today we have been working on another 100 word challenge and this was done with music.

As the horizon comes people stand and stare. The sound of silence fills the air.
Everyone is calm. Everyone sits and smiles, kids are watching carefully with
their families birds chirping and the wind blowing leaves are falling. The sunset
is beautiful. You can see the way the sun has reflected in people's eyes and
people are drawn to the horizon. The waves are splashing people are getting
up. flocks of birds passing by the sky are spectacular red and orange. It was
gorgeous as the sun was in the sky, blossoms were falling off the trees, and
flowers were blooming.

on Jupiter your weight is very high and makes you a lot heavier than usual. Its a tight rope for Mercury and mars. eg there is not that much between them ) but Mercury is still is the least followed up by mars.
If I were to live on a planet with bigger gravity I would collapses. If I were to live on a planet with lower gravity I would jump real high and be like a super star leaping though the sky.

hi today we have been working on money and how to save it. we have did a dlo on what people or us want and needs. every one has different options. we are doing this to learn about money and to save money on things we need not want.

sphero - science

hi guys we have been working with an device that you send directions to control it to go wear you want it to go. we also cut some objects so it could make it more difficult to get one place to another. We also named is Wall E  for no reason we gave it directions so it could go from start to finish and get to wear we want it to go.

hi this week i have been working on a dlo for what we have been looking at in h1 eg who are we. we have been looking at parihaka history. we had some questions set for us.

starry teller - science

Q1 A - in the Desert Research Centre they stayed in Habs and explored and found out what it'll be like on mars e g how it'll feel like. they say in the hab and study biology geology and astronomy. 
Haritina found it difficult in the centre because there was not much to do and nothing around her to entertain her. she also felt lonely and felt lossed in her thoughts cause she had not that much other things to do.
I think it is important to get the feeling of what it'll be like before you go and do it. It is also good to know what your heading into and what are some possibility's that might happen or could be side affect's to going to Mars  like for an example you might not be able to go back to Mars and might get stuck on things that happen when your at Mars e g like if you were to send a message.

Hi today we have been working on a paragraph to explain what a rover is and what its used for.

Have you ever thought of going to mars??

What is a rover?, a rover is a robot that NASA has made,

it is a device that wanders around and it is made to move

across hard surfaces because it's on Mars. The purpose

of the rover is to find more information about Mars, to explore

Mars, and to get photos of Mars. The rover has already launched

because it launched in July the 30th of 2020 the rover

launched at CCAFS a space launching complex. The

rover is coming back in 2021 february the 18th and they

are hoping for it to land in the Jezero Crater.

living a healthy lifestyle

Hi today we are working on what we can do to have a healthy life style. E g eating the right food and how much sodium you eat. 

Having a healthy life style is your choice and how you go about is also your choice, but some things you cant control so you do something about it that will make sure no matter what you have you can still have a healthy life style. As for me I'm dairy free which means I cant have some types of milks. I also cant have butter, yogurt, ice cream and lots of cheese I also cant have milkshakes. But I still can have lots of other things that also are normal to eat. I eat meat and vegetables and fruit I like to keep fit and be activated. I hate being dairy free cause i cant eat lots of cool things that most people can eat.
